William Kaluta is a professional artist/photographer and was born in New York. He is of Russian descent and has over 30+ years experience in the field of photography. Throughout his life, he has taken over 300 photography workshops as well as many workshops in mixed media and creative art classes.
Influenced at a very early age by his father whose skill with the camera truly inspired and fascinated him as well as his mother who was an accomplished and skilled self taught artist, he was blessed with the opportunity to travel around the worlld allowing him to further express his creativity through the camera lens and to capture those precious moments in time.
His father taught him that "life is one continual moving picture" and as an artist, to capture a moment in time and freeze it for eternity
is truly the ultimate artists accomplishment. . .
Growing up in the Northeast on Long Island in his later years also allowed him the opportunity to explore many of the beautiful lakes, ponds, streams, shorelines and beaches in the area thus further inspiring his artistic creativity.
Through his art, He strives to capture emotion and feeling in its composition. As a true artist, "I must be drawn into the scene emotionally". I must feel its colors, the feeling of its reflections and movements in the water, the emotions of my subject".
"And when I succeed in obtaining that one great shot, that one special scene that draws you to it emotionally, one where you can actually, smell the air, feel the breeze, hear the birds, and be within it, then I have accomplished the untimate".
To push my artistic talent, I try to combine pen and ink, watercolor, and or acrylics within a project to create true one of a kind works
of art.
William's art is displayed at various galleries in the New York area as well as on the internet.
Much of his work is available for sale in many sizes in both photographic and fine art prints.
